Hey,
Disclaimer: Im very new to HA and I have tried for hours to troubleshoot this.
I have set up Aqara dimmer switch H2 in uncoupled mode via Zigbee2MGTT so that I can control Aqara T2 bulb.

I am able to turn the light on with "single action" trigger, but I also wish to increase and decrease brightness by scrolling the wheel. Issue is that I think some triggers are missing (attachment 1). I dont have "rotate clockwize" or such that I am expecting to find. Also actions in the main page are "null" (attachment 2 & 3).

Also the availability is "disabled" (attachment 4), dont know if this is the issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You have the rotation action as I see.

#

can you show the device page with all the entities under MQTT integration?

#

you also have a rotation angle value changed

#

NULL is showing you the Z2M, probably because no actions were sent from the device (yet). Try to rotate the wheel a bit

#

availability is a feature that allows home assistant to detect if device went out. For this to work, device must periodically send messages on zigbee to report hey I still exist. When you disable availability, you disable this feature

First of all, thank you for helping!

As an attachment there are the entities for the dimmer.

I have rotated the dimmer before and now again, but i dont think anything has changed.

I think we can ignore "availability" for now?

Open the device please

#

page like this, go to Device & Services -> MQTT -> find your device

#

I see actions are available under the entities, I am sure if you rotate it will show something

#

look at the Activity tab and rotate your device or press some buttons

#

I assume the device ssend events which have no state, and that's why you see them as unknown

It show "rotating" when I rotate either direction. When I stop it says "stop_rotating".

#

It does display rotation angle when I cursor there even though the text on the top says "Unknown".

I am sure there are further parameters somewhere

#

try some other entities what they say

this is the answer from aqara support 🙁

#

I guess I have 2 options. Either I try to code the behavior somehow or Ill buy dimmer that is actually compatible.

#

...or I would buy Aqara Smart Hub M100 which costs only 20e and it should fix my issues. Any recommendations?
