I'm currently trying to pair a bilresa scroll wheel to my thread network, and bought a ZBT-2 to get it started. I've set it as the preferred network and sent the creds to the app. But every time I try to pair it I get "can't connect to thread network nanoleafthread87". I've already tried disconnecting the nanoleaf device from power, same result. Starting to get frustrated. Any advice?

I seem to recall another post around here recently about android refusing to pair with anything but the first thread network it pairs something on... Do you happen to be using an android device?

I use have almost 2 dozen nanoleaft thread bulbs, i have since replaced them because i found them to be the worst devices i even had to deal with. Just saying that to be transparent.

#

what i had to do to get them to work is factory reset them, and join them to home assistant network, but this took a few times.

#

one issue would could be facing that i found out much later is thread versions before 1.4 do not play well or at all with ecah other. only vendor i got to play well with the open thread border router was google. Yes, Google maintains open thread and HA using that repo to build off of.

#

now thread 1.4 has promise of having the networks play better, but current HA OTBR is running 1.3 unless you enabld the beta. but i am not sure if the beta supports all the features yet.

#

also i have no idea what version of thread nanoleaft is using.

I dont know what happened, it just decided to work

#

I had unplugged the nanoleaf device and for some reason the thread network disappeared this time. Tried again with iOS, and it worked

thanks for the help all of you!
