One of our Sonoff battery-powered Zigbee buttons died and I'm in need of replacements. I would just buy another one, but I figured I should inquire about the best options these days with HA. 🙂
Also: I could never get reliable battery readings from these things. They just die one day, so something that's better at that would be nice.
I'm not looking to spend much more than the Sonoff buttons cost, ideally.
Oh, and we do require at least the tap/double-tap functionality. Long-press is optional, but seems pretty common.

What country are you in?

Oh, yes! The US.

If you can find them, I've had good luck with the SmartThings buttons. Single, double, and hold

Hmm...seems like they don't sell the square one I have. The round ones seem a bit more robust

I haven't found anything I like more than the original Hue button, but they are not made anymore and you have to buy them used for $35 on Amazon. The new Hue buttons are $25, but I haven't used one so can't recommend it (and looks like that is still more than the $17ish or so for a sonoff button?). I had someone recommend that I check out the flic buttons but they are pretty expensive IMHO: https://flic.io/shop
