Not sure what's up - A window that I had opened to it was unresponsive, I noted that it had last updated to say that today's backup had failed. Whatever service it is that provides the DNS is failing (homeassistant.local doesn't work), whatever provides HTTP is failing on both 8123 and 4357 (direct IP access on both ports fails) .. but automations are still running. It worked fine last night. I'm sort of afraid that if I hard reboot, things might get worse? but I'm not sure I have any other option

.local is not DNS but mDNS. What is HA running on and how? You didn't add any tag giving hints.

running on an intel pc, HAOS. not sure what else is necessary to know.
i can ping it via IP, but as far as I can tell, no other services that I'm aware of (mdns, http) are responding. automations are running as normal
