Just looking on opions on best way to wire up shelly to a 12V batttery that will also be powering on a Electromagnet that will be holding as the lock for a door.

Sure let me draw it out!

So the way it works is continous power to the magnet keeps it engaged. If they battery dies the door stays unlocked as a fail safe. It's just a small 12v battery but since its not drawing 12v continous battery life should be good. the ideas is to input a shelly so that a button or command to the shelly acts as a relay. Maybe a 5 second limit to turn the relay to the off position (no power) and then back to the on position activating the electromagnet (which would be on, but wouldn't work till the second half that is connected to the door comes back once the door is closed). So I guess using a shelly as a relay lol.

Since itself does not need to feed or manage power, I was thinking a mini with dry contacts making it essentially into a switch just in this case, sending the command to open or close @kindred quiver

The shelly 1 and the shelly 1 mini have a dry contact relay but the mini cannot be powered by DC. It can probably do what you want by the sound of it but I am not 100% sure how everything is set up. The above diagram is not a circuit diagram.

Draw what you have already as a circuit diagram and use that to explain electrically what you want the shelly to change.
