Hi. I'm looking for a smart alarm clock that is not cloud dependent or DIY. Something along the lines of a google nest or lenovo smart clock but without the cloud. I just want to reliably set alarms, toggle some home assistant buttons and if possible play music / use voice assist. What are your recommendations? Or am I looking for something that doesn't exist (yet)?
I've seen a lot of beautiful wall-mounted dashboards with e-ink displays, but it is a bit too much of a project for me right now. Would this 99 euro lenovo tablet be a good solution? https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/2165036/lenovo-tab-wi-fi-4gb-ram-64gb-opslag-incl-clear-case-grijs.html

I've seen a few people use the Ulanzi pixel clock and then reflash it with awtrix 3 to integrate with HA and add a bunch of functionality

Looks like a fun weekend project, but my previous attempt at building a smart alarm out of a fairphone 3 was a failure. I want something that "just works".

The failure being android and the black magic of push notifications. When the alarm rings the alarm is seldom allowed to go full screen. Ive spent hours on this and am ready to abandon and get something that is designed to wake you up in the morning

Yes, use a cheap tablet and the Fully Kiosk software. It's great
