#I setup Home Assistant a few months ago and I can't find how to get back onto my dashboard

Anyone able to assist?
does the Copy inside the cards button work for you??
I'm not sure what that means
That has nothing to do with OPs question.
Have you confirmed that HA is still running, can you still ping the server?
This isn't so much a dashboard question, but maybe more #1284966540617449515 ? Not sure.
How would I check that?
AI is useful with simple server hosting related things
I'm not having trouble hosting a server
I set it up a few months ago and everything worked
I just can't access it now that it's down the line and I haven't been on there for a while
Exactly. Can you ping it?
Do you know the IP address your server is running on?
Like karwosts mentioned, can you ping it? If so, open a web browser and navigate to your server's IP address on port 8123.
For me, it would be http://10.10.10.2:8123
When I go to my chrome search history and use the site link from back in December it won't load and says that my IP took too long to respond.
If you tried homeassistant.local and not the actual IP address, chances are the mDNS isn't working which is common on Windows. You need to figure out the IP address of the device. The easiest way to figure it out is to look in your router like what I posted above in my screenshot. If you tried an actual IP address, then trying pinging it. Press Win+R, type cmd and press Enter. type ping 192.168.1.105 and press Enter (using the IP address.) If you don't get responses, then you need to double check that the IP address is correct (via your router). Also, just to be certain, ensure the device is turned on.
Where are you hosting HA on?
also, @crude escarp can you confirm that:
- you are trying to access your server while connected to the same network
- that your server is actually powered on
It's on my PC
Yes, that is correct
Elaborate. VM?
👀
How did you install it on your pc?
Then how do you know that it is running?
If I'm being honest, I can't remember the process nor did I know what I was doing, I followed a YT tutorial.
A plugin to show the status of the F1 track during a session worked with my smart lights
I'll look at my history

In this video, I cover how to install Home Assistant as a virtual machine on Windows 10 using VirtualBox.

Ok so you’re running virtual box if you followed the guide. Open that and you should be able to see if the vm you made for HA is powered up
