I have a new ZigBee zen thermostat (from eBay) that I want to control via HA. I get it to flash the connecting icon by pulling and replacing the batteries and telling ZHA to add a new device but it never shows up as even being found.
I have updated all available components in HA (according to the android app), including Core, ZHA, and Yellow Radio.
I currently have six ZigBee devices, three ThirdReality rgb flood lights, two Inovelli switches and the HA Yellow, all connected perfectly first time trying.
This is not my first time troubleshooting in HA, the Inovelli mmWave switch needed a custom quirk installed, but I have been using ZigBee devices for just a couple of months.
I have even tried pulling the power disconnect on the switches (which cuts power to the bulbs as well) to force the thermostat to cappreciatedhe Yellow directly and I am sitting about a meter away from the Yellow when I try to connect the thermostat.
I do not have a C-wire and this device has good reviews for non-cloud HA integration so I really want to get it to work. Alternatively, suggestions for a more modern device that works on wifi or ZigBee, does not need a C-wire, and does not require any kind of online access (no third party cloud accounts, even just to set up) would be appreciated.
