#P110 Tapo Plug Problems

I have been using HA for a while. I have several Tapo P110 smart plugs. I have had no problems setting them up. That is until today. I brought 4 new P110 plugs. I connected one to my Android phone. I then did an add device under the TP-Link integration. Nothing was detected. So I entered the IP address to the new P110. I got the following error:

Connection error: Unsupported device 192.168.0.33 of type SMART.TAPOPLUG with encrypt_scheme EncryptionScheme(is_support_https=False, encrypt_type='TPAP', http_port=80, lv=2)

I am running HA version 2026.1.2. It is running on an Intel computer as a docker container.

Fantastic! That worked. Thank you. It is odd that TP-Link do not what to support HA. Surly it would increase their sales.

I have 4 of the ESPHome version of THESE.
another option is is also THIS one, they also have a no relay version HERE which is good for monitoring inductive leads without the danger of having a relay.

Or if you want to go Zigbee THIS one is good but they are probably being discontinued as ikea is moving to thread stuff for their smart home products.

Thank you. I will review those and I will move away from TP-Link in the future.
