#SOLVED: Tuya app complains about designated app when scanning QR

I am trying to get the Tuya integration working. I am able to log in on my IOS phone into the Tuya app. I have made sure it is indeed the actual Tuya app, not a reskinned or 3rd party app. I can also log in using the account on the IOT website from Tuya.

When I follow the process for the integration to 'log in' to the Tuya account I use the user code found in the Tuya app, I get a QR code, but when I scan it and press the 'Confirm login' button I get the message 'Please use the designated APP to scan the code to log in'. If I click 'submit' on HA I get a message 'Login Error' (which makes sense since it apparently hasn't linked to the account yet).

Using Home Assistant OS on a Raspi 5, Core 2026.2.3, Supervisor 2026.02.3, OS 17.1, Frontend 20260128.6. If I scan the QR outside of the app, I get the following syntax: 'tuyaSmart--qrLogin?token=EU<hash>'.

OOoooh... They have indeed. For others running into this: Upgrading to HA Core 2026.3.0 fixed the above problem (for me and apparently @silk frigate ) 😉
