This has been happening at every flash since I unboxed it.

Also, I don’t understand what are “tags”, or why I can’t make a simple post without including one.

Any tips as to how to force an update to the firmware, or where to get more detailed info as to the issue preventing the update? HAOS doesn’t seem to be able to do it. Any way to attempt from a Linux box?

I would suggest reflashing the SkyConnect with the webflasher. It needs the Chrome or Edge browser.

Install firmware – Device Toolbox

Install the latest Zigbee or Thread firmware on your ZBT-1

Connection failed
The running firmware could not be detected.

Make sure the USB port works and if you are using a USB extension cable, make sure the cable can transfer data. Unplug the Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 and plug it back in to reset and try again.
