#Add sensor energy cost to energy dashboard
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
there is not an easy way to regenerate history
I don't need the history but the sensors, now my energy dashboard shows no cost for electricity.
If you want to debug it, probably good start is to share the energy diagnostic
(download from settings page)
My energy sensors all work fine they record kWh, it is just the cost sensors that have somehow been removed from my energy dashboard.
Yes you've said that. The diagnostic will have the clues.
Where in settings can I find this?
Ok that's the wrong thing. That's from the energy dashboard. There's a different download from the energy configuration page.
Do you remember deleting the sensors or do you mean they just disappeared on their own?
I think i deleted them myself, have been cleaning old sensors
I'm surprised you were able to do that
You can probably recreate them if you open the grid settings, set the cost back to none, save, edit again and then change the cost back to number again?
I will try it thanks
Delated them and now restarting HA, it will probebly take some time for the new sensors to work 🤞
After more than 2 hour still no cost sensor, no change😢
Did you do the steps I lined out?
Do they show up in info: cost_sensors in diagnostic?
The energy integration should create the cost sensor
This is today's json
hmm sorry I don't know. Normally as soon as you save it with a price an entity should be added to cost_sensors.
I don't know how you "deleted" the entity before, since you can't delete entities that are currently being used by the energy integration (delete is disabled)
so unless you were mucking around in the storage or something I'm not sure how you got here
