#Do I still need an Arlo cloud connection after integrating with Home Assistant (hass-aarlo)?

If I were to integrate my Arlo cameras into Home Assistant using hass-aarlo (https://github.com/twrecked/hass-aarlo
), would the Arlo cloud connection still be required afterward?

For example, if I set everything up successfully in Home Assistant:

Would the cameras still stream and record without relying on Arlo’s cloud?

Would an Arlo subscription still be necessary?

Or does the integration continue to depend on Arlo’s servers in the background?

Basically, I’m trying to understand whether this setup would allow fully local control, or if it would still rely on the Arlo cloud.

Thanks!

It's my understanding that the cloud is still needed for recordings and such. Unless you stand up something like Frigate to take care of it all locally. And I'm not sure Arlo plays nice with Frigate.
