#Can’t control smart dimmer brightness from iOS/iPadOS Control Center?

Hi,

Brand new to Home Assistant but I’m quite liking it. Much more powerful than the Homebridge setup I was using before.

I’ve been adding and configuring devices mostly without issue. But one thing I noticed is that when I added a HomeKit Smart Dimmer from Meross to HA is that I can control its brightness just fine from the HA app. However when I add the switch to my iOS control center it seems I can only use that to turn the switch on/off. No way to control that actual brightness of the dimmer.

Previously when the dimmer switch was set up in HomeKit I could add it to control center and long press the button to bring up the brightness slider.

So I’m wondering if there is a way to do this in Home Assistant? I used that control center slider a lot lol.

Help is appreciated!

Nevermind! It’s solved! I totally forgot that after I added it to Home Assistant that I could then add it back to Apple Home via a HomeKit Bridge! I had added it to my control center via the Home Assistant options and was then trying to long press to get a brightness control. But now I setup the bridge and then re-added the Apple HomeKit control center toggle back and it works perfectly.

Unfortunately only Apple has access to such a component on control center, third party developers can only display buttons
