#ZWA-2 Stopped Working

I've been troubleshooting this for a couple days. I've had this ZWA-2 for a couple weeks, and it was working great. At some point, the zwavejs started throwing errors, and I've not been able to fix it.

I'm running a HA Green device, and the ZWA-2 is connected to one of the HA Green's USB ports.

I've tried reinstalling the app a couple times, and looking for solutions online. A lot of threads suggested powering off the HA device, disconnecting the ZWA-2, powering on the HA device, then reconnecting the USB once HA was started. That did not work.

I've attached the log from today.

I've had similar issues with a GPIO hat recently. Have you tried fully restarting the HA Green, not just Home Assistant itself?

#

Oh, I should read. You did

For that, I need to plug the ZWA-2 into my PC?

#

I'm assuming yes, so I moved it over to my PC, and this is what I got.

#

In case it's helpful, I only have one Z-Wave device currently.

So, if there's a way to go "scorched earth" on all the HA configs/data, and start over; I'm happy to do that.

I'm wondering if this has something to do with a recent HA (OS?) update. I've been seeing a similar thing with a GPIO hat on my Yellow, which wouldn't react anymore until I powered down completely.

This happened a few times during testing.

I feel like it is possible that it broke after an update.

can you set your loglevel for the Z-Wave addon to "debug"? I'm missing a few things from those logs above.

Do you have more than one Z-Wave addon running? Z-Wave JS and the Z-Wave JS UI community addon?

The logs indicate that there is no communication with the ZWA-2 happening, but the device itself worked fine on your other computer.

No, I only have the one Z-Wave app. Although the update where I think it broke was the big recent one where they changed from add-ons to apps. Could it be that the old Z-Wave add-on is hidden and running along with the app?

Awww crap, I finally found it. I was the problem the whole time. I was working on installing RFLink the other day, and accidentally pointed it at my ZWA2 instead of the ESP32 board.
