#Group identically named individual devices together?

Create a helper entity that sums the two values together
I have a Ubiquiti Network switch with 16 PoE Ports and 16 individual power sensors so I created a helper entity to sum all 16 together to get the total power from all PoE ports
The helper can't exist under one phase though
then it'll look really weird in the sankey chart where a child value has a greater measurement than the whole phase
you make the two phases children of the summed helper
but they're not children of the summed helper, the dryer isn't the only thing in the house so dryer phase A + dryer phase B is always going to be a lower value than total phase A plus total phase B
ok, the fact you wanted that specific grouping rather than just A+B was not in any way clear from your post
mb
yes i'd like to still be able to see the per-phase breakdown in a way that makes sense, but when only the leafs of each hierarchy tree are shown i was just wondering if there's any way to group them together even if they have different branches
if that's not a feature nbd, i can deal with two dryers in the donut chart lol
i'm with you now
i think what i'd do is make, phase A, phase b, and phase a+b as your top level in the sankey. A is everything except the dryer, B is everything except the dryer, and A+B is the two dryer values summed together (and then don't include the individual phase data for the dryers)
