Voice assistant suddenly wont answer

I flashed a custom wake word to my voice PE and it was working fine for a few hours, but now when i trigger the wake word (any wake word, not just the custom one), it aknowledges the wake word, plays the wake word sound, then the ring flashes red and it dies

Check the pipeline assigned to the device is the correct one and the connections to the parts of the pipelines are working.

The flashing red is it telling you that its failing to start a voice pipeline instance. which means something is wrong with one of the parts of the pipeline. Either STT/Agent/TTS.

i know where i goofed up, my nabu casa cloud subscription expired and i was using cloud as my stt and tts

is there anything free thats faster than google AI SST and TTS?

You could self host but speed/accuracy depends on what hardware you have available. Realistically I would say that NC cloud is worth it and you get the warm fuzzy feeling inside because you are also helping the project.
