being new to Thread/Matter , I have some difficulties to make a diagnostic on my issue. (my goal is to integrated IKEA devices with ZBT2 on RPI4 HA2026.2.2)

after auto discovery of the ZBT2, the integration went smoothly, it also install Thread for me. in Thread cogwheel I made ZBT2 my prefered network (I also have a Nesthub gen 2 not integrated)
the ZBT2 blue light are off, which could be normal state or a power issue.

in setting devices-integration :

  • Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 activity
say unavailbable if I disconnect it, turn off when I replug it. (so it look like it's still some life there)
  • in Thread cogwheel prefered network say "ha-thread-f1b8 No border routers found"
  • OpenThread Border Router :Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2
Failed setup, will retry: Unable to connect

How to turn it On ? please tell me it's not a hardware issue ...

From what I have read, the connect ZBT-2 can be used for Thread or Zigbee but not both. Check to make sure it's set To be using thread.
I just started using thread, and I had a major issue because there were two thread networks in my house. The second network I had was on a Google Nest hub gen2 as well, and I never found a way to turn that off. I was eventually able to merge the networks but it was complicated. I actually had to wipe things in my phone to remove the other network.
When you set up your thread border routers they will use the credentials saved on your phone. You may need to Remove that information from your phone, something that some Android phones will do, but on my phone I had to go in and delete the save data for the Google Play services, which also removes Google Wallet a few other things. Once that data was removed you can then set those devices up again and they will use the same credentials as long as you're setting them up with the same account on your same phone. I was dealing with all google devices and it seems like it might be easier in Home Assist to change the Connect ZBT Dash 2.
Now that I got everything working, I do still get a lot of drops on my thread network. Looking for suggestions on how fix those problems.

Small progress:

#

in device integration when you go for home assistant connect ZBT2 you are able to choose the option "migrate Thread to a new adapter" it seem to make the ZBT2 visible again as prefered network and openThread border router can see it again. (at least for a little while as it happen to drop again, redoing it put it up again).
