#Dont Update to iOS26.4 Beta 1
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I'm having a potentially similarly related issue where the HA app on iOS 26.4 Beta 1 needs over a minute and multiple retries to connect to HA properly. Might be due to changes in Webkit?
I also sometimes get this error in my HA logs, if it helps:
Source: components/system_log/__init__.py:331
First occurred: 23:49:23 (2 occurrences)
Last logged: 23:49:34
Uncaught error from WebKit 605.1.15 on iOS 18.7 ReferenceError: Can't find variable: elementId /config/logs:24:57 global code (/config/logs:28:3)```
I have to agree, don’t upgrade to the beta iOS - 9 times out of 10 the companion app won’t connect to HA. Very frustrated
Temporary work around until the issue is fixed is to delete your HA IP in the Internal Address field so it forces Nabu Casa cloud connection if you subscribe to Nabu Casa
Disconnect and reconnect phone from wifi also work
Same here. I’m all OS 26.4 phones, watches, HomePods / TVs and I am so frustrated. This is the most frustrating beta I’ve seen from Apple in awhile.
Do you all experience issues when using iOS Safari as well or only the companion app?
Safari works for connecting when the companion app won’t but still cannot do things like normal. For example you cannot edit an individual card in the dashboard. Safari or the companion app.
Ok, I think those are different issues, the connectivity is for sure related to the iOS Beta, the edit I’m not so sure, you are better off reporting the issue in GitHub to home-assistant/frontend
I’ll debug the connectivity issue tomorrow but it’s possible that a fix will only come in the following betas
I’ve seen several post the same about being able to edit cards. So if m pretty sure it’s known.
by using google chrome it's OK
Beta 2 now available; did anyone check?
Download in progress, I’ll tell you after
Same problem
Thanks for the feedback
I got this error NSURLErrorDomain code -1009
I am now able to edit individual cards with 26.4 beta 2
Still getting disconnects in the companion app
Also in Safari?
Seems that a circumvention is to connect to 2,4 Ghz WiFi, worked on my iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro and my new iPad Air
Doesn’t work for me
Apparently when using only the remote URL (not the local IP) it connects properly
Do you guy notice any difference between URLs that are http from https in relation to this behavior?
Yes remote work but not local
This is interesting https://github.com/home-assistant/iOS/issues/4375#issuecomment-3938533570
That worked for me
IOS 26.4 Beta 3 fixed all Problems for me
Sadly this didn't help for me :(
Still happening to me. I thought it was all good then this morning it happened.
Beta 4 released today fixed the issue for me, can you confirm as well?
I confirm
Fixed it for me too.
