#Adding another Matter-Over-Thread border router in "OpenThread Border Router" in "Devices.." ?

Hello All,

I'm running a good ethernet wired Matter-Over-Thread in my house, but I would like to have one in the garage, where the Thread network will not reach, but I have wired ethernet to it, and wifi.
So, currently I have my SLZB-MR4U well configured and working, but how the devil do I add the new SLZB-06Mg24 (don't need zigbee, hence different model), which is plugged in the garage with PoE?

Seems that trying to add the device via "Add Service" in the just fails. The devices are currently on the same network and plugged in to the same switch.
I also looked into "Apps" for adding via the "OpenThread Border Router" App, but i seem only to be able to have one configured.

Also, this "Devices and Services" vs "Apps" seems very confusing to me. Alas, I'm but a humble man. 🙂

Any good ideas?

Cheers

Stevns

To my knowledge entering a value there will only overwrite the existing one. If the URL was correct you shouldn't even see the error. The standard OTBR rest API port is 8081.

A SLZB-MR or SLZB-06 series device is not itself a thread border router - it's just a radio. it needs to talk to a separate thread border router application running elsewhere.

you can use it with the home assistant otbr app (add-on), but you can only run that once per HAOS install
