I randomly noticed today that all my devices\toggles on my HA instance were grey, and my zigbee devices wernt working in the house. I went to open Z2M addon and it start it wasnt running, and to start it, so i did. I noticed about an hour earlier per my log\screenshot is when it lost connection to the slzb06. Why does the addon fully shutdown when that happens? Im assuming this was a network blip or maybe the SLZB hiccuped. But i would expect Z2M to retry in that case, so it can reestablish a connetion to correct it. Is there a way to acheive this?

Did you toggle the "Watchdog" setting for the Z2M addon app?
The network protocol to the slzb-06 is basically a serial port over network. If the connection is interrupted, then the two sides become out of sync, and the only way to get everything back in sync (ensure both sides agree on the current state) is to reset. I am kind of surprised that z2m needs a full restart to do that… but z2m isn't part of home assistant, you should contact their support channels on that.
