#grid consumption vs load panel consumption in the energy panel

I have a grid attached solar system with two separate pairs of sensors.

  1. I measure everything going to/from the grid (aka grid) where it feeds into to my inverter
  2. I measure the total load of the panel (aka load) - this is fed from the inverter which in turn decides to feed from batteries, solar, or grid

In the attached picture there grid sensors are "GMP Power", but I don't understand how/if I can include my actual load.

Is the "grid power" option the total power used by the house (aka load) or something else. Using the term "grid"in two places is confusing me.

thanks in advance

You don't add the load to HA. You configure the grid, solar and battery, then HA figures out the load based on that. It's basically grid import + solar + battery output - battery charging - grid export
