How would y'all recommend I install HA on TrueNAS? I see a lot of people recommending HAOS but that seemingly has issues with some Zigbee controllers.

Do you already have a coordinator?

Yes. A Sonoff ZigBee module. E variant

I'd simply try it out as a VM. I personally run it as a docker container via docker compose. Not on TrueNAS though.

TrueNAS also has their "apps" which are seemingly just premade docker configs but I see no one using them.

Their HA app requires postgres for no good reason if that's what you mean. Better to use proper installation methods.

if you have or are planning to get matter devices, you'll probably have a better time with that using HAOS in a VM.

Planning to upgrade to the new IKEA devices when I move so I geuss HAOS might be better then.

matter on home assistant requires running some additional containers (packaged as apps on HAOS), and has some tricky network requirements that are hard to get right on an OS that you don't fully control like TrueNAS.

Which one should I select for the Sonoff Dongle-E 3.0?
