Has anyone managed to trigger the scroll wheel by turning it counter-clockwise? Button 2 indicates that it's been pressed, but it doesn't work. When I turn the scroll wheel to the left, there's no new input. This is also why buttons 4 and 8 are showing as unknown, because the counter-clockwise rotation isn't being recognized.

the clockwise and counterclockwise rotation are on separate event entities.
and then it's complicated by the 3-device toggle…
i haven't heard of anyone else having an issue where they don't get events for counter-clockwise rotation. I've heard that the dial can be slippery so it might be difficult to actually turn, or you could have a faulty device that's not reporting events :/
Note that because of how the automation state triggers work, it's easy to make a mistake that will cause the automation to not be triggered, even tho an event is received. Are you having a problem with an automation?

Does anyone know how to control the LED on the BILRESA dual remote? I want it to briefly flash after pressing one of the buttons, like a visual confirmation of the action
It seems odd thag I'm not seeing the led as an entity for the device either

The LED is not controllable. it's only used internally by the device as a way to indicate pairing mode and low battery.
