Hi
I was trying to get this set up for my HA instance and got this email from support

Our system detected problems with "being.twig.1m@icloud.com", and a trial was not granted. However you are still able to use this account when you add a subscription.
If you believe that this is not correct, please reach out to our support.

I have opened a ticket but is this something obviously wrong with my request?

For now I have deleted my account on Nabu Casa and will reconsider my options.

Can't create account, or choose Trial option, continues to give error: "Unexpected error: PreSignUp failed with error ||Mailbox does not exist." I've tried multiple times multiple ways for days, both from within HomeAssistant, and from the Nabu Casa site. I did get an email from them to click to verify my email, which I did, but still can't get in. Home Assistant Cloud does show up in my HA settings on my home laptop both if I use my ethernet access to my network or wifi. ipv6 is turned off in HA. I submitted a ticket from the NabuCasa site, but can't seeme to find it or its status anywhere. Newbee, but have been working with PC hw & sw for decades, so not totally illiterate... just totally new to HA

Yes, I checked my inbox, spam, suspect but no new emails. The only one is the one I mentioned to click to verify my email. it came from support.nabucasa.com .....

OK, got another email from donotreply... with confirmation and temp pw. I've logged in and changed to a new pw...

These are two different validations. The one from zendesk is to submit a ticket. Zendesk newly implemented this to cut down on spam submitted as tickets.

The other validation process is separate. Nabu Casa validates addresses to cut down on trial abuse. Your email service didn't respond to that process and this appears as "mailbox not found". So I sent you the temp password.

OK, yes I didn't see anything from Zendesk, but am just now checking HA Cloud... states preparing...

There used to be only one validation process. Now there are two. So I understand the confusion

That is Zendesk (it shows as from support)

If you're seeing the preparing status, then HA is trying to request a certificate for your Nabu Casa URL. That can take some time. Keep refreshing the page to see if that changes. If it doesn't in 5 min, try a full system reboot using the advanced option in the HA restart menu.

Refreshed and now has remote access available. Do i just paste it into my browser or do I insert it somewhere in my remote app?

You can use that address in any browser from any device. You can bookmark/favorite it as it doesn't change. You will reach your HA sign in page and you sign in with the HA user (not the Nabu Casa account, that part is done)

The companion app should detect this address and configure itself to use it automatically if it is on the same local network as HA, but it can optionally be set manually if you want to copy and paste it in.

You can check this in the companion app settings, then click on your server that is listed there, and look for the external url settings that the app uses to reach your server.

It should appear as "Home Assistant Cloud" or you can manually set the Nabu Casa URL there

Hmm paste into laptop browser... Site can't be reached... From android app multiple errors and also didn't connect. Do I have to exit HA on my laptop first?

No. But I'm not seeing that your HA server is connected to the Nabu Casa end when I check the account. What are you seeing on the Home Assistant Cloud page now? Is the remote access toggled on?

It should now always stay on, but it's one thing to check if you're not seeing a response from HA when you use the address to reach it. It's either not active, or HA has a problem reaching Nabu Casa. A full system reboot is always a good step to try in that case. The connection always begins by an outbound request from HA to Nabu Casa and not the other way around. 90% of the time, the issue is on the HA end if you don't see a response

๐Ÿ‘ OK, seems I have been able to get in on both laptop & phone... Thanks!. Now I just have to figure out how to connect to my ecobee thermostat, since they won't give me an API, and trying to setup the SmartBridge 2 Homekit, but it wants an API too, so I don't know how to do that since there's no "8 digit pairing code" that I know of...
