I have NUT (Network UPS Tools) set up on another RasPi and it works well, but my RasPi HA install is on HAOS and the HA NUT Add-On doesn't seem to support acting as a network client. I've gone a few rounds with ChatGPT and web searches and nothing seems to work. Am I chasing something that isn't supported?

If you have NUT running somewhere else and working already then you don't need the addon.
Addon's are the software themselves, so using it will set up a new NUT server.
You should be able to add your existing NUT server with the NUT integration.
or is it that you want to get rid of the old nut server and have a new one with the HAOS addon but want to make it also available to other systems?
If so then you can adjust mode and port exposure settings in the NUT addon's configuration page.

After further review, I was using the wrong HA Network UPS Tools (NUT) package. I was using the NUT Add-On, not the NUT Integration (which is for clients). Teaches me to listen to an LLM-powered search!
