Just updated to 2026.1.6, and on launching I was shown this screen.
I was immediately confused because I already allow precise location all of the time, as well as connect via nginx proxy over HTTPS. My connection should be totally secure already.
I just dismissed the screen rather than proceed with either option, but I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding it, or if I'm confused. Is this just a sales pitch for HA Cloud or something?

It has been added to ensure ppl ensure that their setup is always secure and they understand the risks. If you see this screen it means that one of the URL configured in the app for the server you are opening is not using HTTPS
and even if you already give location permission the app is going to ask this question to be sure ppl understand why we ask for this permission.
It might sound a bit too much but we do see ppl exposing their instance using HTTP and it is a real risk.
So if you are all set properly you should pick Most Secure (and in any case you can change this settings later from the companion app settings).
