Hi, we are renovating an apartment in Portugal right now and I want to make it a "Smart Home" with HomeAssistant.
I am new to HA and am not currently using HA.
Can anyone give me some suggestions on what hardware to use and what's even available?
The plan so far is to use Shelly Pro for electricity and window blinds and maybe sensors (sensors because maybe then maybe that part could be controlled even if homeassistant would be down for some reason).
I also want two doors equipped with a smart lock, the entry door should "look" and be mechanic from the outside (with a key and all) but maybe with something like the teedee GO2? another inside door can be 100% smart lock only (does not HAVE to be) in order to auto lock the bedroom door at night (maybe the Shelly LOQED?!?).
there is network outlets in every room, wifi coverage hopefully everywhere (currently planned with Ubiquiti)
A RasPi4 would be there to provide DHCP,DNS and run HA in a container.
At least the doors should be very secure, so if it does use something like auto unlock via bluetooth, it cannot simply be via an identifier but needs to have a good encryption level.
of course the rest should also be secure but there is less things that can be done with it to cause much harm.
I would also like some kind of "alarm", window, door, water, humidity, fire, temperature sensors, wall panels for controlling the house automation (currently looking at the Shelly Wall Panels)
Heating system is old and I think all runs via a boiler for that apartment which is located in the kitchen. for controlling the heaters, i was also thinking Shelly BLU TRV (simply to have most from one vendor?!?)
I do plan to add at several cameras but have no idea which (one outside of the apartment but inside the building if i can get permission and a few inside).
I am not really sure what else I could add to that smart home or which hardware I should really use.
