Changing Thread default network for adding Matter devices

I've seen there's an issue when changing the default thread network that it's no longer possible to add Matter devices. (https://github.com/home-assistant/android/issues/4146)
There's a work around which involves deleting all play store information (which includes Wallet)
This is a major pain. Is there any way to restore the Wallet information without the old Thread network coming back as well?

oop - just tried syncing credentials again (In the Companion app, go to Settings > Companion app > Troubleshooting, then select Sync Thread credentials.) and it worked.
