May I suggest that Home Assistant add a publicly available global stats page. Each HA user could decide to contribute or not (maybe even at different levels). Maybe the HA analytics data collected could be adjusted (Allow aggregation and public visibility button) and used. The public page could show details like total active HA servers, total matter server active users as well as for all (or 10 most popular) addons. Totals for each device type (or 50 most popular). The page could show version breakdowns for HA, each of the addons, maybe firmware versions, etc. The average number of devices per user. The list is almost endless.
The benefits to users would be in deciding when to update, what devices they could buy, what firmware on the devices are know to be working, etc. The benefits to HA cloud (Nabu Casa) would be that users would be able to see the analytics you are collecting and be more willing to contribute to the analytics. You might gain leverage with manufactures to help them improve their products and show what is popular. You might even increase your user base from a FOMO perspective 🤣.
For a great example look at what Syncthing public page (https://mon.syncthing.net/d/edy5vpz3ri1ogd/usage-reporting-current or https://mon.syncthing.net/) does.
FYI: Consider adding a Suggestion tag to home-assistant-cloud, or tell me to post this it the right spot, or ???. I used "New to HA" tag but couldn't find a better channel to post or a better tag in this channel.
