Notifications without Nabu Casa

if i dont pay for nabu casa and have an automation setup where my phone gets a notification for a devices condition, will my phone still get that notification even when im not connected to the network HA is connected to?

If you use the version from Google yes you get the notification without using Nabu Casa (HA Cloud). It goes through FCM (firebase)

for the Automation in "Then do", I have device selected, then my phone, then send notification.

How do i set it up with "the version from google"?

My advice is to pay for Nabu Casa if you can, it makes your life easier and helps the software to improve 😉

yeah, but i have to set up 2 different HAs in 2 different locations. Id have to pay $130 a year cause id have to pay twice

You don't have to do anything by version from Google I meant from the Play store. If you do download it from there you can send 500 notification per day and you don't need to have a connection to your server.

No, if you downloaded the Home Assistant Companion app from the play store it allows the notifications that's all it's builtin
