Hello, After much searching, I finally discovered this device which suits my needs perfectly:

I don't have any integration with Tuya yet (don't really want to) but I have Thread and Zigbee radios set up - and this device has neither. What are the chances this will integrate well with HA over Wifi ? Will I have to fall back on Tuya integration ?

Wouldn't recommend that.

You are likely better off with Broadlink RM4

I have seen that come up in some threads with mixed results.. will research that specifically

#

Seems to only do RF433

ESPHome is giving some love to IR at the moment, there was some stuff in 2026.1 for it. so you could build something or use something like the m5stack atom-lite or atoms3-lite which have IR blaster leds. It might be a bit of extra chaos to get it working the way you need to though.

Hrrm .. I love esphome... Would prefer to use that but don't want to guess at what to order and M5Stack are more expensive to get here than I would like

Would need a radio module too.. or get the esp32 with one built in I guess...

Yah I actually have use cases for IR, RF315 AND RF433

It is likely that the broadlink stuff is the better option.

Will check the RM4 Pro - I think this might have RF315

#

Strange - some pages say the RM4 Pro support RF315 and others only RF433

Or dependent on the country it is bought from.
