#Remote UI down – SniTun timeouts (us-east?)

Is anyone else having issues with Nabu Casa Remote UI right now?

Symptoms on my side:

  • Local access works
  • Remote UI times out
  • Logs show:
    “Timeout connecting to snitun server”
    “Challenge/Response error with SniTun server”
  • IPv6 is disabled
  • Outbound 443 allowed (UniFi)
  • Status page shows online

Looks like a possible partial SniTun outage or regional issue (us-east?).
Would be good to confirm if others are seeing this too.

@plain forum just to rule out "our side" you don't happen to be on Shaw in Canada?

I am also using Unifi, but .. that seems unlikely to be a cause.

I am having the same issue as you. I am using Unifi as well but it does not seem that the UDM Pro is blocking any connections. I am located in NYC.

Yea, I also don't see anything obvious on my UDM Pro, but funny that we're using the same ..

Yes haha. I went through the flows and nothing is being blocked.

Yea, I noticed it when I woke up this morning.

Probably ~1 hour ago?

Last night I setup something that was making requests to the cloud endpoint -- and thought maybe I caused it by ddosing myself, but .. it wasn't that. So I spent some time swapping it over to just hit HA directly.

Same here. About an hour ago. I sent in a support ticket to Nabu Casa, but I'm still wondering if this could be local issues on our end or whether this is a Nabu Casa outage.

I'm far west coast -- and with sam being NYC -- that seems to indicate more of an issue on the nodes than routing or anything ..

New to the HA discord, this was the longest 10min wait so I can send a message...

My setup says connected on Remote Access and also on the nabu.casa site. From South Africa.
I have the same error:

Using TP-Link Deco mesh, so not UDM or not only UDM related.

/config/cloud/account -> click ... -> 'download support package' -> expand "cloud" its listed there

Home Assistant Settings -> Home Assistant Cloud -> 3 dots on the top right

Then download support package, scroll to cloud, expand it and it will show the remote_server

The instance that is working is has not been updated to HAOS 17.0. Logged a ticket too.

Ok they still need to dig deeper for the root cause but in general a thread was crashing, and restarting a container fixed it

I had just got back from being freed of jury duty and saw the posts here 😅
