Hello, everyone.
I'm new to this whole disc and home automation thing. I stopped by to see if anyone could shed some light on the subject because I'm a bit lost and stuck.

I'm looking for something very simple, especially voice control. To do this, I'm sure I'm going to use Sonoff relays (mini l2 for simple switches and mini R2 for simple switches).
I want to have everything locally except for Alexa voice control (I know that's not possible).
Initially, I had the relays, a Sonoff IHOST and an old 2nd generation Echo Dot. The thing is, I was able to work locally, but when I wanted to use ewelink, it wouldn't link the Zigbee devices, so I tried to install HA on the ihost, but it's been hell and I haven't been able to do it.
The question is, for my situation (I may add a presence sensor in the future, but not much else), would you recommend buying a HAGreen+zigbee hub and continuing to use my 2nd generation Alexa Echo Dot... Or switching to a more modern Alexa that already has Zigbee. In terms of price, it would end up being more or less the same.
The key for me is to be able to use a local network that doesn't overload my Wi-Fi and slow down processes, and for the only thing that depends on the cloud to be the voice. I want to be able to use it by voice and mobile app (and if I can control it from outside the house, that's great, but it's not essential).
Keep in mind that I'm very bad at programming, and although I can learn and I'm getting into it... I'm not the best at it.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, if you want no software issues, a HA Green or similar it's the best, most of the time. What I can't tell is about Alexa integration, I don't use it.

ZigBee it's the best option IMHO to avoid WiFi. I use the Smlight SLZB-06 but there are a lot of options

And believe me, once you get into HA, you'll use a lot of devices and automations 😉
