Hello everybody. I have an IKEA Dirigera Hub. Tonight I installed Home Assistant Docker on one of my PC's. I also installed the Matter Server plugin.

One of the problems that I have is that I can't connect my IKEA Dirigera Hub to Home Assistant. I already tried to fill in the Matter code from the Dirigera Hub, but that isn't working at all. The Matter Server doesn't also seem to recognize my IKEA Dirigera Hub, although Home Assistant instantly recognized my Dirgera Hub as a Threads router, so I don't understand what's going on there.

Another thing I ask myself is how my Zigbee bulbs connected to the Dirigera Hub are going to behave. Will the Zigbee bulbs pop-up as a Matter device?

TIA!

I am not expert, but I can tell you that I have my IKEA diregera connected with home assist and all my Zigbee devices works great. I connected it as a bridge under integrations in the IKEA App.

I will say that all the old-style devices from IKEA works flawlessly. All the matter devices has to be added to IKEA, and then shared with Home Assist, but I have issues with them disconnecting for some reason that I have not yet found.

The Dirigera acts as a Matter bridge for zigbee devices. Once you add it to home assistant via matter, the connected zigbee devices will be available to home assistant through the matter integration.

If you're having trouble getting matter working with docker, it might be worth considering using HAOS in a virtual machine since that has everything set up for you.

Did you enable Internet access for your IKEA diregera hub? I am not sure if it's a requirement...

You can enable access to IKEA hub from outside your network.
