Here is the setup I have:
I have multiple rooms but because it is a rented place I can't smartify the heating / ac too much.
Here is what I have as controllable devices:
- One TVR radiator in the bedroom
- One electric space heater in the bedroom
- One AC in the living room (single wall mounted unit for the whole flat)
I also have: - Window sensors on all windows and doors
- multiple thermometers around the place
I would like to have one or two climate entities that I can expose on the dashboard to have easy control over the things.
Something like the multi-zone thermostat hasc plugin but that assumes too much about the setup.
I would like to have a thermostat for the bedroom, that uses both the radiator and the electric heater if needed. The radiator is house provided so I don't need and can't control the boiler. This means that sometimes (mainly during the day) the radiator is colder and the hotter during the night.
The electric space heater is a Philips one and is visible as a climate entity in HA already, but cant use any external temp sensor so the set-point is useless (surprisingly it is always lower and thus over heated the place).
I also have a standing fan with possible IR blaster controls that might be fun to integrate into the bedroom climate for ultimate control.
The actual AC unit is in the living room and needs time for the air to dissipate into the other rooms, so I regularly have the issue of the living room being too cold in the summer.
