#Flakey Matter/Thread in HA. Works well in HK. Need help.

I am a recent adopter of Home Assistant (HA Green) coming from Apple Homekit, and completely new to Discord.

My problem concerns Matter/Thread devices shared to HA from Apple Homekit. I have 30 Matter/Thread devices which are 100% stable in HomeKit. I have only managed to Matter-share 14 of these devices to HA, and they so frequently disconnect that they are unusable in HA. I have no problems with shared Matter/Wifi devices.

WiFi network is a Netgear Orbi mesh system with RBR860 router and two RBS860 satellites, configured as a Wifi 6 system with two SSID’s

  • MAIN: 5GHz channel & 2.4 GHz channel
  • IoT: 2.4 GHz channel

HA Green is hardwired to the router.

I have 4 Apple devices acting as thread border routers : 1 Apple 4K TV and 2 Apple HomePod minis, all connected to the 5GHz channel of MAIN network, and 1 Apple HomePod mini connected to the IoT Network (this is a recent addition aiming to improve the situation, but it didn’t...).

Can anyone explain why the thread devices are **rock solid ** seen from Apple Homekit and so flakey seen from HA, and how to move forward?
