#Matter over LAN not behaving when using SLZB-MR1U.

So I just got a new SLZB-MR1U, I managed to set up Z2M correctly. But thread/matter keeps giving me problems. The credentials refuse to sync to my phone. Always showing this error.

I have researched this problem a bit and no I do not have any Apple HomePods that could be interfering. And due to the nature of my setup I can not plug it into my Home Assistant server directly via USB.

I am stuck, any help/tips are appreciated.

Okay, I believe I’ve resolved the issue. UniFi doesn’t work well with separate VLANs, even though my phone has permission to communicate with my IoT VLAN. However, when I connected to the IoT WiFi, everything worked seamlessly. I’m curious if there’s a way to fix this problem in UniFi so that I don’t have to connect to my IoT WiFi every time.

One of the presets is “Matter Network”

# tropic sleet Thank you

Please let me know how it works out as I am not currently doing this with any Matter devices, but would like to

#

I can confirm it works well for ESPHome, HomeKit, etc though

Still get this

#

Not when I’m on my IoT

#

I’ve looked through all my rules

#

Can’t find anything that would be problematic

for Matter/thread traffic may need to reflect ipv6 mDNS and few (if any) of the consumer/prosumer) routers seem do that that well enough for Matter yet at least not consistently for most users.

#

you won't find guides on how to do this for matter online, at least not reproducible ones for users.

Good luck ... several have tried. If you get it working and get a robust matter ecosystem please document the steps.
