Hey!

I want to add a zigbee antenna to my raspberry pi 5 running home assistant OS. i have these controllers. and i am thinking of getting a usb zigbee 3.0 antenna (do i get a USB one as in the picture?) Would this setup work? And does HA instantly recognise this usb or will i have to manually set up some things. If you have any other brands or models i should look for pls lmk

Yes something like this or via poe will do

As alternative, there is the official home assistant one, ZBT-2 that also works well

@lapis ingot if you use an adapter like the one you shared, you'll want a USB extension cable, ideally at least 1m long

glad to hear that as i just ordered it lol. Hows the range on it? like have u had any issues where if theres some space inbetween the device and the stick that it doesnt (always) work?

Not so far, but I have a couple of power plugs and bulbs that extend the network

Most non battery zigbee devices will act as a router, so you don't need anything special
