#Matter Hub temperature devices in Celsius

Press on the entity to open its more info box. click the cog in the top right then you can change the unit of measurement.

this seems like more of a google home question than a home assistant question? matter devices always report temperatures in celcius, and it's up to the matter controller to convert them when displaying them.

yeah, I thought you were referring to something displayed in home assistant. the way other devices display is up to them really.
If this is a known thing I can live with that.
"matter hub" is a third-party add-on for home assistant, not part of home assistant.
but i'd expect that you would have the same issue if you connected a native matter temperature sensor directly to google home
Ok. Sorry, I just set it up today and didn’t realize it was 3rd party.
on the google home device you can see see if there is a generic setting to change the units used globally to "us customary" or something instead of looking at specific entity changes.
but it would be an "end device" thing.
Internally pretty much every sensor uses C, then if end devices want F they convert it to display.
