Can anyone help me find a Zigbee / Zigbee2mqtt hardware for a repeater / extender ?
I need to over ethernet ( hopefully POE powered, but not necessarily).
I already have zigbee setup, but want to extentend to a zone where its not possible to extend it wirelessly.
Also I am not sure if this is the right channel. help me find the right one if someone can! thanks! 🙂
NOTE: not interested in SMlight hardware!

As far as I am aware, This is not an option with Zigbee.
you could potentially have a 2nd independent Zigbee network at your distant location but it cannot be the same network split across two locations.
you would need to create a "bridge of routers" between the locations so to speak if you want it to be the same network.
Hmm!🤔
So only SMLight is an option or your option!
Thanks for your input! 🙏
I think I’ll do security check on smlight when i will have time or just wait for someone else to make a alternative!
Maybe HA will make a zigbee hardware with this functionality!
Thanks again! ☺️

this is not what I said

it is not possible, its just not how zigbee works.
zigbee has 1 coordinator. and 1 mesh.
if you set up another coordinator remotely then it would be a different network.
a lot of people are pretty happy with the smlight hardware.
there is work being done on making the ZBT-2 able to be a remote coordinator via an ethernet attachment instead of just local usb... however it is not guaranteed to be a thing that will exist. It will very likely come into existence but you shouldn't buy it based on a potential future feature that may not come.
I am using the following device as my Zigbee coordinator with Zigbee2MQTT. You can order it with PoE functionality.
https://shop.codm.de/ZigBee-Coordinator-CC2652P7-CZC-1.2/90810-POE-SW
Via the web interface of the device you can switch between the following 3 roles.
But I don’t know, what happens when you switch it to Router. IMO Zigbee can’t be routed over infrastructure, like it is the case with Thread Border Routers. Maybe contact the device vendor.
