Core: 2026.1.1
Supervisor: 2026.01.0
Operating System: 16.3
Frontend: 20260107.1
Hardware: Sonoff Donge Plus-E with RCP 2.4.4 firmware (no multiprotocol, flashed from Sonoff website)

Installed the " OpenThread Border Router" addon and configured it with the Sonoff dongle
Add-on is booted succesfully without errors.

After this the Thread integration seems to be added automatically.
Tried finding the 3-dots options next to it but it's not present

Deleted the Thread Integration and added it again, just to try.

  • No result, Home Assistant still shows up under " Other Networks"
  • The 3-dots options are also missing

Am I missing something simple? Not sure why HomeAssistant border router is missing the 3-dot menu and is not preferred.

did you setup the API URL in the OTBR integration ?

this is haos with the otbr add-on, so there's no need to manually enter the api url. The otbr integration should get automatically enabled.

#

someone else has run into this problem recently, and it was resolved by restarting home assistant (that seemed to have fixed the auto-discovery, causing it to add the otbr integration properly)

Restarted it a few times already without luck.
Enabled the webbrowser on port 8080 and in stated the RCP State is disabled

On the Form page i've created the OpenThread network, since there were no existing networks.
After forming i've rebooted HA once more and now it's automatically set to the Preffered network.

So now I know flashing a new OpenThread stick does not automaticly add/form a default OpenThread network on the stick. OpenThread is still very new to me.
