#Erroneous untracked energy consumption?

Hi everyone, really hoping someone might have the answer to what I'm missing here. The energy dashboard keeps telling me in the individual device total usage area that I have, on some hours, -0 kWh.

This could possibly be due to a rounding error, but it gets stranger because in the energy flow diagram below it, I usually get less than a tenth of a kWh listed as positive untracked consumption. In the screenshots attached you can see it's currently 0.023 kWh.

I don't have any whole-home monitoring so every single energy sensor (42 total) is added as grid consumption to give me the sum. Those exact same 42 energy sensors are used with their corresponding power sensors in the individual device setup so it should be an exact 1:1 match between the two; yet I keep getting untracked consumption listed.

I attached a CSV of the data from just a few minutes ago to accompany the screenshots. Unless I'm missing something, every grid consumption sensor matches up perfectly to the exact same device energy sensor, and the sums of each group match up perfectly. Am I missing something obvious that the Energy tab keeps saying I have untracked consumption? Thanks for reading.

So as of today the -0 kWh readings in the individual device area appear to have stopped, but I still see around .03 kWh untracked consumption showing up in the energy flow. Here's an updated csv output from this morning and a screenshot showing the untracked consumption.

Yeah sorry I decided I didn't need that.

#

I suspect that it's dropping the small sources from the flowchart and dumping them into untracked.

#

I think under 10 watts devices aren't included in sankey

#

well that was for the power sankey, but maybe the energy one has similar

#

Am I correct that the bar graph shows 0 untracked, but only the sankey has untracked?

that would make sense - I do have a lot of devices just sitting idle recording barely any energy usage (until turned on). and the untracked consumption amount in the flow does vary throughout the day by a little bit. it looks like the bar graph does still record an infinitesimally small amount - not enough to see in the full view, but when I hid every single device it finally displays

Yeah that's just a rounding error I guess

#

Probably Sankey should clump those into something other than untracked, maybe "Minor loads" or something

#

Or just omit from the calculation

#

You can open a frontend issue if you want, can't promise any particular resolution though

sure - would you mind guiding me to where? sorry, I'm still very new with HA and brand new to the support channels
