Hi all!
A company has reached out to me asking if there are distributors capable of providing HomeAssistant Green devices with pre-installation services. This company is evaluating the possibility of implementing their own HA integration and to bundle, together with their device, a HomeAssistant green (or equivalent device) with their integration pre-installed.

Do you know any european (better if Italian) distributor of HA devices, which can also provide pre-installation services?

I don't see this as something that would happen, tbh, but it's up to Nabu Casa. Having stuff pre-installed that isn't HA isn't ....well, something we really do.

There's an italy distributor but an official dist should not be supporting adding some unofficial integration

@light lance thanks. The integration is not yet official, but the company plans to initiate a PR to implement the necessary official integration. They are also open to do the installation on their own: they just want to understand who is the best italian distributor to get in touch with

Hi. I am also interested to find a HA Green distributor in Europe who would be interested to discuss custom configuration. We are at an early stage to develop a product that needs smart monitoring and control 'under the bonnet'. Will be posting links with details shortly

The only path for this is to submit an official integration for Home Assistant. The Green does not have Home Assistant installed out of the box and downloads it during setup.

In order to have any integration pre-installed it would require that someone has started Home Assistant and gone through onboarding: create an account and password, choose location, time zone, etc.

Thanks for explaining this. At this stage I don't want to submit an official integration as we are still refining ideas. Is this the right place to discuss options on the best way forward?

My main question is - is it possible to build a custom version of HA software? The goal is to provide hardware (including a HA Green) that is pre configured with minimum user involvement, other than connectivity
