Is there a specific reason why the zigbee devices are not shown in the settings menu:

I'm using zigbee2mqtt addon to let HA use zigbee devices. Is that the problem ?

Yes - the Zigbee option is for the built-in ZHA integration.

And no plans to add it for the add-on zigbee2mqtt plugin ?

This seems to be a way to expose dashboards/screens built into HA. I think the z2m add-on provides its own ui, which you can already add directly to the sidebar?

Yes, that's correct. I just thought there could be a shortcut to the z2m gui from the same page. The Matter (and z-wave) server also has their own GUI to manage the devices. But not the z2m.

The matter server add-on UI is not intended to be used by end-users, it's more of a debugging thing. All matter device control should be happening in HA-native UI.

Does the Z-wave option open the zwave.js web ui, or a home assistant screen?

It opens a HA screen showing options to display the network visually, backup the configuration and migrate an adapter. I understand your point of view. I was just wondering.

when they mentioned this new feature in the release notes, they said it was mainly there as a way to bring some attention to screens that HA already had, but which users might not have known about.
