After the 26.1 update. HA via Nabu connection is super slow! I have done everything at home I could do, diabling dns aka Adguard, fresh install, allowing all to pass through, network reset, logged out and back into nabu in HA. If I reboot the pc then the connection is through nabu is quick and then with in 2 mins it slow down again. Doesn't matter if I try my android phone or through a computer browser. It is all very slow! Let me know if you need logs.

I didn't have this issue until I updated. Fyi

Thanks

after a hard reboot of the PC, things to be better, not 100% but better

feral ridge
#

restored back to 2025.12 and everything is working perfect again

Sounds like an integration issue if HA core versions are the difference. Any custom integrations in use? Same in safe mode?

I just signed up for cloud as this is a new install. I am on 2026.1.0 and the remote access is so slow that Cloudflare says it is unresponsive. I have very few integrations as this is a new install. I get this all day long.

@vague rampart cloudflare?

#

the connection is made here. do you have existing configuration from previous remote connections? what are you seeing in the HA logs when connecting locally?

I think it was just timing. It all sorted itself out an hour ago. Apologies

naaa. its still slow as hell, displaying the map on my PC takes 10s. and my phone loose connection every few minutes. locally its fine, but nabu casa connection is faulty

All right after the downtime / Nabu Casa, thx!

feral ridge
#

rebooting back to normal mode and will repost the logs again

feral ridge

whatever was the issue, booted into safe mode. rebooted HA and now everything seems to be working just find. strange, unless they fixed something in 2026.1.1 but who knows.

After the update? Did you also run beta?

cloud stag
#

Yes after update and no not the beta. Everything works as normal with local ip 192.168.1.xx, but slow when going through nabucasa. Still an issue

What regional remote server are you using?

#

This is listed in the cloud section of the support file using the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the HA Cloud page in settings

i'm in western Canada, Saskatchewan

#

unless theres a remove_server closer to me

#

i have also gone through my integrations and clean unused and anything else seems to be an issue.

#

still slow to load but not as bad as it once was with complete time out

Update:

#

still wasn't getting answer. next step start turning off Add-ons =

#

problem Add-ons was = openWakeWord

  • Next is why is openWakeWord being an issue.
I will uninstall and reinstall to see if will break HA remote connect or fix the issue

update: I will not reinstall this add-on for now. submitted a ticket in github

I would never have expected open wake word. So the speed returns to normal when this is not running?

feral ridge
feral ridge
valid totem
#

and did you have it in use? or was it running unconfigured?

#

looks like it's just looping

#

and restarting

feral ridge
#

i will admit i wasn't sure it wasn't a requirement. I followed someones video to get it setup and work sometime last year or even before that i can't remember but left it and didn't think twice about it.

#

to get voice assistant with a speaker setup i mean

valid totem
#

@feral ridge do you have a link to the issue at gihub?

#

nevermind. found it.

valid totem
#

@feral ridge you might try adding openwakeword back after updating as a test

feral ridge
#

been several hours and not restarting

cloud stag
#

Nabu casa support mentioned that other users had problems because of openwakeword and I removed that, since im currently not using it - and it solved the problem

valid totem
#

That turned out to be the new VAD and release 2026.1.2 of HA core reverted it. Removing openwakeword helped because it helped use less CPU but it was not the source of the problem

Hello, I can no longer connect to Home Assistant, either internally or externally. I can find my server, but the wheel just keeps spinning. This has been happening since noon Paris time. I tried restarting my rPi 4, but nothing works. I was able to access it temporarily, and there were no backups, which is very strange. I am using the latest version of HA and I haven't done anything in particular. Everything just stopped working all of a sudden. Thank you for your help.

Has your HA local ip address changed? It's the local connection from the app to HA that isn't working. Have you tested in a browser?

#

does 192.168.1.143:8123 work in your browser when you are on your local network?

#

I've deleted your logs just in case you don't want the Nabu Casa URL shared here. That works for me from my browser, by the way. Home Assistant responds with the login page.

Everything seems to be back to normal after turning off my RPi 4 and its ssd for several minutes.

#

Even locally or via the external URL of Nabu Casa, nothing worked.

ok I'm going to close this post because this has one has gone all over the place over time with issues that may seem related but are not. (not just you @smoky oar)
