My Google account has advanced protection enabled. Today, when I attempted to re-authenticate (which seems to be required monthly), Google showed an error: Access blocked: Nest Integration is not approved by Advanced Protection.
This is a new limitation.
Are there any workarounds?

That's unfortunate. Is there anything HA can do to make this an approved integration? Or is Google preventing this?
