Wow that is a lot of effort
not if you just use HA Cloud
Lots of threads you have, lol
If you want to make things easier, go for nabu casa cloud. Yes, it's paid, but you get a lot of stuff like voice, online encrypted backups and remote access all in one. Way easier to setup...
and you bypass lots of third party cloud thingies
I don't use Alexa, but if you can add matter devices to it, you can use the matter server addon / docker container and export all your HA devices to Alexa, it works for Google home
and therefore i can use it without using home assistant cloud right?
but 7 euros a mobth is a lot of money only for accessing it remotely
well worth it! 😉
would not be the first one with no local backups after crash. Cloud has backup for you..
Tbf you can set up cloud backups without the NC subscription
just posting this as i happen to be reinforcing my backup procedures as we speak and noticed this thread
Correct
Building custom commands and Flash Briefing require your Home Assistant instance to be accessible from the Internet with HTTPS on port 443.
You do so via the router right?
you need a certificate for https/ssl
yeah for my own domain right?
i have found a way of adding alexa with matter to home assistant
was it this? https://github.com/t0bst4r/home-assistant-matter-hub
yes
I just noticed that project is no longer maintained
