Hi everone, happy new year!

My HA Cloud isn't connected anymore, although I can connect into my Nabu Casa cloud and my local HA installation.

I see this in my logs:

Info from Nabu Casa Support:

Hi there,
I hope this finds you well!

The remote access of some customers was being affected by a short server issue today.
The access should now be functional for those customers!

Could you try again and let me know if it now works for you as well?

And of course, if you had any further questions, or need for assistance, do not hesitate to ask me!

My remote access connection was down for 1.5 hour. Appears back online about 30' ago. Good thing I had a backup cloudflare connection otherwise would not have access to my smarthome.

Is it worth paying the subscription for nabu casa cloud? Cloudflare is free and very highly available and secure.

after doing the update to 26.1 casa cloud connect is very slow. worked perfectly find before the update. I can't connect to it on my phone. take for ever to load on my home computer

took 2 reboots of the computer that runs HA and now things are back to loading well.

Must be a bigger problem, for everyone..? I just started to troubleshoot at my home and i cannot see anything thats wrong. Nothing have changed. 6 hours ago it worked but was extremly slow and now its not working at all.

I think they are working to restore the situation because sometimes it’s working for 1 or 2 min

Same here.
Remote access was extremely slow for hours, now completely down.
Local access works fine.
Looks like a global Nabucasa SSL / certificate issue.
Using ZeroTier as a workaround for now.

May be this is a clue: I updated Home Assistant Core to Version 2026.1.0 a day or two ago: are those who are experiencing the problem also in this situation?

I have the same problem. HA says remote access is enabled, and Babu Casa says it is too, but it's not working. The logs I see are:

Registrador: hass_nabucasa.remote

Connection problem to snitun server (Challenge/Response error with SniTun server (0 bytes read on a total of 32 expected bytes))

It doesn't seem to be a problem with my network or my HA. I've tried several tests (from another network), changed the HA DNS, restarted several times, and it's still the same. I've opened a support ticket; how long do they usually take to reply?

It is sad that when money is taken from my account, they notify me immediately, but when they have a global issue with a service they boast about as a flawless solution for remote HA management, they provide no information at all. This is disgraceful and a very poor approach toward a paying customer.

This ☝🏻 I’ve just changed to cloudfared, it’s free and seems quicker too. There is no excuse for Nabu casa to not inform its customers, the status page on their website is also showing all green. https://status.nabucasa.com/ can further lock down your home assistant via cloud fare security / WAF rules

I'm still having problems at my end. Not as bad as it once was but still very slow to connect and load. What I have figured out is it has something to do from 2025.12 to version 2026.01. As soon as I updated this issue started happening immediately. I downgraded back to 2025.12 and the issue went away. Upgrade to 2026.01.1 problem is still there but not ad bad. 2026.01, I couldn't connect at all. I had reboot my pc and it would be okay for about 5 minutes.
