How can I add my AC into home assistant?

weary cypress
#

What's the exact model?

stray inlet
#

It does have WiFi

#

I can not scan the qr code too tough

weary cypress
#

Ah. If it's WiFi you probaly need the Tuya or Tuya local integration. I can't really help with that. I thought this was again zigbee related.

stray inlet
#

I have tuya

#

But that does not work

#

Maybe someone else can help me

If the core Tuya integration in Home assistant doesn't work, try one of the tuya related integrations you can load thru HACS.

stray inlet
#

I have now the normal tuya mode working

#

What would I have to insert as a client id for local tuya?

night crater
#

create a project on tuya developers website, once setup there, you have client id and user id. Also you can find the SECRET, run a query for your hardware. You'd have to google a walkthrough for setting all up.

For me itlooks like they have no development cloud service anymore

night crater
#

works for me though.. again, pc/edge/chrome. From mobile it will be a pain in the *ss

stray inlet
#

where do i find the client id tough?

night crater
#

open project

stray inlet
#

that should be it

1 Install the Tuya Integration:

Go to Settings > Integrations in Home Assistant.

Click on Add Integration and search for Tuya.

2 Set Up a Tuya IoT Account:

Register on the Tuya IoT Platform.

Add your Silvercrest ZigBee Gateway and its associated devices in the Tuya app (Smart Life or Lidl Home app).

3 Generate API Keys:

On the Tuya IoT Platform, create a new Cloud Project and enable the ZigBee API.

Link your Tuya account to your Cloud Project.

4 Link Home Assistant with Tuya:

Enter the API keys you generated on the Tuya platform into the Home Assistant Tuya integration.

5 Add Devices:

After completing the integration, the ZigBee devices connected to your Silvercrest Gateway should be visible in Home Assista
#

can i do this too there?

night crater
#

i would buy a zigbee dongle to avoid all that if using zigbee ๐Ÿ˜‰

#

thought it was about wifi

stray inlet
#

Which dongle would you buy?

#

For ZigBee

night crater
#

ha's zbt-2 or smlight slzb-06.

#

there are cheaper ones too, but those two i know run good, fast and reliable.

#

suggest rethinking protocols and usecases though.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

#

bit over the place

#

If you can do zigbee > go zigbee instead of wifi. Dont advise Tuya, TP-Link, Tapo too btw.

stray inlet
#

This one?

night crater
#

no, slzb-06 noletter

#

at least, it is the one i run happily for a while.

stray inlet
#

Can i by the way delete tuya if i have the lights working or nah?

#

have these now working fine

night crater
#

nah

#

you can if all runs on zigbee..

#

but not wifi, you'll need either the og tuya ^^^ or localtuya

stray inlet
#

Via the silvercrest Gateway

night crater
#

well if running and controlling works on zigbee, ditch the tuya app

#

i guess..

stray inlet
#

Client id and stuff

#

And user id

night crater
#

if running zigbee, no need for anything tuya

#

]#confused

#

have you done some research about zigbee / wifi / controlling ๐Ÿ™‚

stray inlet
#

And how can I connect new lights to the ZigBee gateway without using the tuya app?

night crater
#

in that case indeed you need the tuyaah int. Or go zigbee dongle and connect silvercrest to zigbee. That way you would not need the integration anymore.

stray inlet
#

Ah ok I got it I think

#

But if I have everything connected I will not need it for daily use right?

night crater
#

if you mean the tuya app on phone, no. You only would need it to add devices, fw updates or so. You will control it from within home assistant

#

i think if you got it working now, keep it that way for now and do a bit of research for silvercrest as zigbee coordinator ๐Ÿ˜‰
